Marcelito Pomoy finishes 3rd runner-up on ‘AGT: The Champions’

Filipino singer Marcelito Pomoy landed fourth place or third runner-up in the second season of “America’s Got Talent (AGT): The Champions.”

Recall that he wowed judges Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Alesha Dixon last week with his rendition of finale number “Beauty And The Beast.”

Right after Marcelito’s win was announced, his wife joined him on stage and she thanked everyone who supported her husband.

“We just want to say thank you, thank you so much for everybody. This is a big, big opportunity for him,” Joan Paraiso said.

Heidi praised the Pinoy singer anew.

“Marcelito, I love you so much, you have the most beautiful voice. Well, I should actually say the most beautiful voices inside of you. You’re champion. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with all of us.”

Hours before the airing of the grand finals, Marcelito shared his thoughts on his entire “AGT: The Champions” journey.

“Tomorrow (Today) is judgment day… Please don’t forget to watch the finale tomorrow (today).. there will still be an encore so I will be performing one more song together with the other contestants… We are 10 grand finalists and from the 10 contestants.. 5 will be eliminated then the other 5 will be ranked from top 1 to 5 but only one will win.. Only one will bring home the trophy and the $20,000 grand prize…,” he started.

Marcelito added he would “love” it if his fans would still watch his finale performance.

“As what I am always saying… Win or Lose I know that I am already a champion because in your hearts.. I know that we won already.. We raised our Filipino Flag and represented our country to the best that I can be.. My dream has already been a reality with a bonus.. It is to be able to perform not just once, twice or thrice but there will be a fourth time tomorrow on one of the biggest competition in the whole world… America’s Got Talent the Champions Edition.. See you all tomorrow… love you all… heart emojis).”
